Juniper Licences & Subscriptions (Flex, SRX, Mist)
For EX switches, Juniper uses the Flex licensing model with Standard, Advanced and Premium tiers. Standard is included with the switch. Advanced adds features such as OSPF, VRRP and multicast, Premium additionally adds BGP, IS-IS and EVPN-VXLAN. The licence depends on the device class, that is the port count, and is available as a perpetual licence or as a subscription. According to Juniper, subscriptions are only offered in bundles, for example with Juniper Mist Wired Assurance and the Marvis virtual network assistant.
For SRX firewalls, Juniper offers Flex subscriptions in the Advanced 1 and 2 and Premium 1 and 2 tiers, which enable IPS signatures, Juniper antivirus, web filtering, anti-spam and Juniper ATP Cloud to different extents. For cloud management with Juniper Mist, subscriptions are available for Wireless Assurance per access point and Wired Assurance per switch class.

SRX1600 Flex: A1 with IDP and Juniper AV, A2 additionally web filtering, anti-spam and Sophos AV, P1 with IDP, Juniper AV and ATP Cloud, P2 with all services.
